I have been interested in science and in teaching all my life, but it took me several years to fulfill my dream and become a science teacher. Before I went into teaching, I spent 20 years designing and installing audio and A/V systems. I have also worked as a farmhand, laboratory animal technician with rhesus monkeys, maintenance engineer, store manager, florist and contractor. I do pottery, photography and woodwork for relaxation. I play 5 string banjo, guitar, congas, bongos, doumbek and e-flat Sousaphone with varying degrees of incompetance.

I am happily married to another science teacher.

I have one daughter , 2 stepsons and a grandson as well as numerous pets
