Science grades will be based on the following:
Science Notebooks, Exams, Vocabulary Quizes, Fast Fives and other daily work, Homework, and Projects.
A = 90% - 100%
B = 80% - 89%
C = 70% - 79%
D = 60% - 69%
F =0% - 59%
*Please note - NO PLAGIARIZED WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED.
| CATEGORY | INFORMATION |
| Science Notebook | The science notebook is an important part of science. You will need to write down questions, hypotheses, data and observations, and conclusions in your science notebook. This notebook will document what you do in your lab experiences and help you study for exams and projects. |
| Quizzes and Exams | There will be weekly quizzes in class. Quizzes will cover the vocabulary and other material learned during that week. You will also have a final exam at the end of each unit. This exam will cover material from the entire unit. We will always have a review day before the final exam. |
| Fast Fives |
When you come into class, your immediate job is to take out your fast five sheet, copy the information/question from the board and work on it independently for the first few minutes of class. |
| Projects | Each unit you will have a project that will incorporate the ideas learned during the unit. Some projects will be completed in class, some at home, others will require that you do work both in class and at home. Most projects will be done in a group and part of the grade will be based on how well you work as a team. |
